Vancouver Whitecaps FC host two-time defending MLS Cup champions LA Galaxy in front of a sold-out, boisterous crowd at BC Place. The 'Caps had yet to defeat the Galaxy since joining MLS.
Russell Teibert had his family in the stands. The young Canadian midfielder started the match on the bench, but when Daigo Kobayashi had to exit the match in the 14th minute, an opportunity presented itself.
