'Caps keeper David Ousted earns Week 3's Save of the Week with stunning reaction stop

Ousted sprawling save

Andy Dorman surely thought he had scored a goal when he headed an early corner kick on frame this past weekend, but David Ousted had other plans.

Ousted delivered what was voted Week 3's MLS Save of the Week by making a great reaction stop to deny Dorman's fifth-minute header. Ousted, who earned almost 33 per cent of the vote, pawed the near-post attempt away swiftly with his right hand to help set the tone for Vancouver Whitecaps FC as they picked up a road point in a scoreless draw with New England Revoltuion.

San Jose Earthquakes midfielder Jean-Baptiste Pierazzi finished second this week, earning just over 23 per cent for his goal-line clearance in the club's 1-0 defeat to Sporting Kansas City.

Final Votes - Week 3:

1. David Ousted (VAN): 32.70%
2. Jean-Baptiste Pierazzi (SJ): 23.25%
3. Troy Perkins (MTL): 20.79%
4. Stefan Frei (SEA): 16.53%
5. Brian Perk (LA): 6.74%
