Nominate your Community MVP until July 6

Community MVP 2014



Are you considered a role model in your community? Do you have a friend or neighbour that uses the game of soccer to make a difference in their community? NOMINATE YOUR COMMUNITY MVP TODAY!

Last year, Whitecaps FC’s representative, Bobby Samra won the league-wide MLS WORKS Community MVP contest, and was able to donate $10,000 to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. The ‘Caps are looking for the next Community MVP nomination and want to reward individuals who promote goodwill, demonstrate leadership qualities and help to improve lives within our community.


Until July 6, 'Caps fans will have the opportunity to nominate themselves or another individual who sets an example as a leader in the community and uses soccer as a tool to help make a positive impact in one of the following areas:


  • Social issues focusing on acceptance, inclusion, diversity and equality
  • Health issues affecting men, women or children
  • Community Service for a local, national or international charity or community organization


The 2014 Community MVP Contest winner will represent Whitecaps FC in the MLS Community MVP contest and win a VIP Whitecaps FC experience. Nominations are being accepted now until July 6. A finalist will be chosen by July 10.


The nominated 'Caps MVP could win a $10,000 donation to their charity of choice and a trip to the 2014 AT&T MLS All-Star Game in Portland, Oregon on August 6, 2014.
