Oasis and Whitecaps FC have partnered to present the ‘Caps Kick Smart Program, a healthy-living program aimed at elementary school children. The ‘Caps Kick Smart program has toured over 130 schools in the Vancouver region over the past 3 years, educating youth about nutrition and the importance of physical activity. The ‘Caps Kick Smart Program has reached over 41,000 children, and this year alone the program visited 39 schools in the Lower Mainland. It has helped to give children between the ages of 6-12 the tools they need to live a healthy and well-balanced life.
Many familiar faces from Whitecaps FC including coaches, players, and alumni, like Carl Valentine and former Whitecaps FC player and national team star, Sam Lenarduzzi help introduce the students to soccer in a fun and interactive way during the presentation, inspiring them to make active and healthy choices, on and off the pitch.
Vancouver Whitecaps FC are an integral part of the sports community for over 40 years, and the club has a vested interest in making sure our youth have the tools and opportunities to make positive life choices. The ‘Caps are proud to partner with Oasis to inspire a healthy respect for a balanced lifestyle, including eating properly and getting plenty of exercise, among the youth in our community.
