November is here and MLS WORKS, the community outreach program for Major League Soccer, is kicking their Soccer Kicks Cancer Movember 2014 Campaign into gear. Whitecaps FC defender Jordan Harvey, a number of front office staff, and club ambassador Carl Valentine will be growing their mustaches in support of the campaign.

Those who do not wish to grow a mustache are encouraged to show their support by donating to this worthy cause. Soccer Kicks Cancer is a league-wide initiative focused on raising awareness and funds for cancer research and treatment, and providing strength and hope in the fight against cancers affecting men, women and children. Movember’s purpose is to raise awareness and funds for men’s health issues, specifically prostate and testicular cancer initiatives.

This will be the fourth year Whitecaps FC has participated in Movember since joining the MLS in 2011. Over the past three years Whitecaps FC has raised $13,060 during Movember for men’s health issues.
