Fans are encouraged to act now to see Whitecaps FC begin their 2015 Cascadia Cup defence as the 'Caps look to win a third consecutive regional title over Seattle Sounders FC and Portland Timbers.
“Cascadia matches always prove to be amongst the most exciting matches of the season,” said Whitecaps FC president Bob Lenarduzzi. “With the team looking to defend the Cascadia Cup title, our fans will be the difference maker in pushing the team to victory.”
For the third consecutive year, in support of Whitecaps FC’s commitment to youth soccer, the club announced that an additional 1,500 young fans and their families will be at the match on March 28. These additional seats have been made available to those participating in the Whitecaps FC adidas Cup which is taking place in Surrey on March 28 and 29. The sold out tournament will see 250 teams participate, which are made up of girls and boys between U-9 and U-12.
Whitecaps FC currently sit tied for third in the Western Conference after winning their first match of the season, 1-0 on the road against Chicago Fire. Overall, the ‘Caps are 1W-1L-0D in 2015, with striker Octavio Rivero leading the way with two goals in two appearances.
