NOTES:

Whitecaps FC head coach Carl Robinson makes three changes to his starting XI from last weekend at Portland Timbers with Tim Parker in for Ethen Sampson, Matías Laba in for Gershon Koffie, and Kekuta Manneh in for Darren Mattocks. In 11 matches to start the season, Robinson has used 11 different starting lineups.

Goalkeeper David Ousted will be making his 59th consecutive MLS start, including playoffs, with the club. In MLS action, the 30-year-old is second only to New York Red Bulls keeper Luis Robles (89) in consecutive matches. This season, Ousted is first in shutouts (5) and tied for first in wins (5).

Right back Tim Parker makes his first MLS regular season start today at BC Place. The 22-year-old native of Hicksville, New York made his league debut last weekend at Portland as a substitute in the 88th minute. Parker, who was drafted by Whitecaps FC at 13th overall in the 2015 MLS SuperDraft, has started five matches for WFC2 in USL at centre back and played right back during two first-team preseason matches in February.

Centre back Kendall Waston is making his 20th start in MLS regular season play. Outside of his suspension for yellow card accumulation on October 18, 2014 at San Jose, the 27-year-old defender has played the full 90 in every match since his first start for the ‘Caps on August 30 against Portland.

Waston’s centre back partner, 34-year-old Pa-Modou Kah, will be making his 49th start in MLS. Kah’s two assists are tied for the second most among MLS defenders so far this season.

Left back Jordan Harvey makes his 193rd MLS regular season appearance and second straight start. Prior to joining Whitecaps FC midway through the 2011 season, the native of Mission Viejo, California played parts of two seasons with the Union for a total of 45 starts and 3,861 minutes.

Midfielder Matías Laba, who returns to the lineup after serving a one-match suspension, is making his 57th MLS regular season start tonight and his 41st with WFC. The 23-year-old defensive midfielder is second in the league in tackles won (36) and second on the team in passing accuracy (84.6%).

Midfielder Russell Teibert will be making his 55th MLS regular season start tonight – all with Vancouver. The 22-year-old Canadian international is eighth in MLS with a 88.07 per cent passing completion rate (among players who have completed at least 100 passes).

Experienced midfielder Mauro Rosales is making his 104th start in MLS regular season play. In four appearances against the Union, the 34-year-old native of Villa Maria, Argentina has recorded two goals and one assist.

Attacking midfielder Pedro Morales will be making his 38th MLS regular season start for Whitecaps FC. The 29-year-old native of Hualpén, Chile has a league-high three game-winning assists and is fourth in chances created (25).

Winger Kekuta Manneh returns to the starting XI after starting on the bench the last three matches. The 20-year-old is making his 58th MLS regular season appearance and his 25th start.

Striker Octavio Rivero has started every match so far this season. The 23-year-old Uruguayan is tied for second in the league in goals (5) and third in game-winning goals (2). He also leads the league in shots (36) and shots on goal (16).
