Brett Levis named to USL Team of the Week

Brett Levis celebrate

VANCOUVER, BC
– It's been a good week for Whitecaps FC 2 (WFC2) midfielder
Brett Levis
. On Sunday the Saskatoon, Saskatchewan native scored his first professional goal
in a 2-0 win over Arizona United SC
, and on Tuesday he was named to the USL Team of the Week for Week 11.

The Canadian's performances have been getting better and better with each passing week, and this past weekend, with his collegiate coach and Whitecaps FC Saskatchewan Academy head coach Bryce Chapman on hand, he found the back of the net. After dispossessing an Arizona player at midfield, he darted up field, beat two defenders, and cooly slotted home a memorable goal.
Levis is the third WFC2 player to be named to the USL Team of the Week, joining
Ben McKendry
 honoured in
Week 10
 and
Craig Nitti
 who was
honoured in Week 3
WFC2 are back in action on Wednesday in the first of three straight road matches as they take on Real Monarchs SLC at 6 p.m. PT, live on whitecapsfc2.com. The 'Caps return to Thunderbird Stadium on Sunday, June 14 for Bark at the Bird as fans are invited to bring their dogs to the match.
