The 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup gets underway on Saturday when Canada take on China at the Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton.
The match marks the start of Canada's quest to reach the final at BC Place and make history by lifting the trophy on home soil. Ahead of the Red and White's opening encounter, the Canadian players on the Whitecaps FC roster, and a special guest, had this message to send to the women.
Whitecaps FC have fully got behind the FIFA Women’s World Cup, organizing a residential camp centred around the World Cup (including tickets to the SOLD OUT final at BC Place). As part of the camp, girls will have the opportunity to interact and learn from Whitecaps FC Girls Elite REX coaching staff.
