As part of an MLS-wide initiative, season ticket members and Whitecaps FC supporters were given the unique opportunity this season to leave their imprint on the 'Caps by having a picture of themselves printed on the back of the 2015 Whitecaps FC jersey.
Thousands of season ticket members and fans participated by uploading selfie photos onto their favourite number, or the jersey number of their favourite player. Contributors were even able to pick the location of their image within that number in much the same manner as you would select your seat on a flight.
These images were compiled to create a collage of fan photos featured on special limited edition jerseys that will be worn by Whitecaps FC players at MLS matches during the month of August.
The exclusive jerseys were available for purchase through online pre-order at the beginning of the year. A limited number of the jerseys will be available for purchase at merchandise stands at BC Place on match days throughout the month of August, as well as at Whitecaps FC’s official store in Gastown.
Fans who uploaded photos are automatically included in a draw to win a game worn jersey off a players back. Winners will be announced in September and contacted directly.
