Whitecaps FC head coach Carl Robinson makes three changes to his starting XI as centre back Kendall Waston, winger Sebastian Fernandez, and striker Darren Mattocks replace Johnny Leverón, Kekuta Manneh, and Erik Hurtado.

Goalkeeper David Ousted will be making his 47th consecutive MLS start with the club, which is the most on the team. Ousted is the only ‘Caps player this year to start and play every minute of MLS regular season action. The Dane leads MLS with 12 clean sheets this season.

Right back Steven Beitashour will be making his 114th start in MLS regular season play today. Despite missing four matches while away at the FIFA World Cup with Iran, the native of San Jose, California has played the fifth most minutes (2,338) this season for Whitecaps FC. If Beitashour plays 89 minutes today, it will be the second most MLS regular season minutes he’s played in a season since becoming a pro in 2010.

Centre back Andy O’Brien will be making his 48th MLS regular season start and 25th this year. O’Brien, at 2,168 minutes played this season in MLS, has played the most minutes of the six centre backs used this year. Of the 12 shutouts Whitecaps FC have posted this season, O’Brien has started 10 of those matches.

Centre back Kendall Waston returns to the starting XI after serving a one-match suspension due to caution accumulation. Tonight will be his ninth start for Whitecaps FC, five of which the ‘Caps have recorded a shutout.

Left back Jordan Harvey, who holds the club MLS record by a defender in appearances, starts, minutes played and goals, will be making his 188th MLS regular season appearance today. Harvey has started all but one MLS regular season match this year and is second in the team, behind Ousted, with 2,849 minutes played. Tonight will also be Harvey’s 33rd start of the season, which is a personal best in 10-year MLS career.

Midfielder Matías Laba will be making his 48th regular season appearance in MLS and 31st as a member of Whitecaps FC. At 2,648 minutes played, Laba has more MLS regular season minutes than any other Whitecaps FC front six player this season. Only Ousted (2,970) and Harvey (2,849) have played more minutes than Laba.

Midfielder Russell Teibert will be making his 12th consecutive start, a career best. Today is also Teibert’s 29th MLS regular season appearance this season, also a career best. Teibert, who joined the club in August 2009 when he was 15, is the longest serving player in Vancouver.

Midfielder player Mauro Rosales will make his 10th consecutive start and 11th appearance for the club. This evening will be Rosales' 99th start in MLS regular season play and his 118th appearance.

Whitecaps FC captain Pedro Morales, who leads the club this year with 10 goals and 11 assists, will be making his 28th MLS regular season start today. Morales has appeared in all but one MLS regular season match for Whitecaps FC this year and is fourth on the team in minutes played with 2,464.

First-year MLS winger/striker Sebastián Fernández will be making his 24th start and 32nd appearance this season. Fernández, who has appeared in all but two MLS regular season matches for Whitecaps FC this year, notched a brace in his last start back on October 4 against FC Dallas.

Striker Darren Mattocks will be making his 25th appearance this season and is one goal shy of tying his pro career best of seven, which he set back in 2012, his rookie season.

Additional notes:

- Whitecaps FC have played 303 minutes without allowing a goal, which is currently the sixth longest shutout streak this season. The ‘Caps went 325 minutes without allowing a goal from July 27 to August 23, which is the second longest. Chivas USA holds the record this season at 352 minutes. The longest streak in Vancouver’s MLS history is 428 minutes (March 10 to April 7, 2012).

- Should Whitecaps FC win today, they would set a new club record in MLS with 50 points, surpassing their 48-point total from last season.
