Canada are now one win away from a spot at the 2016 Olympic Games.

The Canadian U-23 side drew 2-2 with Cuba on Tuesday to wrap up group play at the 2015 CONCACAF Men’s Olympic Qualifying tournament. As a result, Canada finished second in the Group A standings with four points and a 1W-1L-1D record.

Michael Petrasso led the way for Canada in the group stage with a goal in each match. Whitecaps FC striker Caleb Clarke started each of Canada’s three matches, while WFC2 defender Jackson Farmer made two appearances – one as a substitute and one as a starter.

Benito Floro’s side now advance to Saturday’s semifinal against the Group B winner, which will be either Honduras or Mexico. The winner of each semifinal will qualify for the 2016 Olympic Games.

The losers of the semifinals will then square off in the third-place game for an opportunity to face Colombia in a one-game playoff for the final Olympic berth.
