Vancouver Whitecaps FC mourn the loss of Dave Fryatt

In Memory of Dave Fryatt

Vancouver Whitecaps FC are mourning the passing of Dave Fryatt, a beloved figure in Canada soccer.

Fryatt spent 26 years on the executive board of the Canadian Soccer Association including stints as president, vice-president, and director between 1954 and 1982, and 24 years with the BC Soccer Association as chairman, secretary/treasurer, and chairman/treasurer from 1952 to 1982.

Mr. Soccer, as he was fondly called, was a founding director of the Vancouver 86ers soccer team and remained a loyal supporter of the club for many years.

"Growing up in the game, I was always knew of Dave, and I got to know him better when the 86ers were starting up and he was one of the founding members," Whitecaps FC president Bob Lenarduzzi said. "He always had the best interests of the game at heart and he will be greatly missed."

Whitecaps FC wish to offer condolences to the Fryatt family at this difficult time.
