Academy Centre Players of the Month

Whitecaps FC Academy Centres are a network of regional training hubs linked through key staff, curriculum, and standards that provide professional supplemental club training for serious, motivated players. Whitecaps FC currently have a network from British Columbia to Ontario, including locations in Kamloops, the Kootenays, London (Ontario), Manitoba, Northern BC, the Okanagan, Saskatchewan, Squamish, Vancouver, and Vancouver Island.

“Wil has an outstanding work ethic and continually strives to get better every session. Wil is currently playing with players that are one and two years older than he is and continually meets the challenge. He wants to play at a higher level and will do whatever it takes to get to that level. I have not come across a player in a while that has the work ethic to want to achieve.”

What her coaches say: “Sierra has shown great commitment to her own personal growth. As a player, she works tirelessly to improve herself in all four corners of development and over this month she has been performing at an optimal level.”

What his coaches say: “Josip is a very talented player who leads by example on the field, regardless of the challenge put in front of him. Josip has been playing and training at an extremely high level this month.”

Even if the move doesn't always end up with success he continues to bring out the moves until he begins to master them. Colin clearly loves the game and wants to improve every time he steps on the field.”

“Thomas was the starting goalkeeper for the Saskatchewan Western Canada Games team and was invited for a trial to the Residency program. He has shown a great desire and commitment to perform at a high level. He continually pushes himself beyond his comfort zone with additional strength training and goalkeeper sessions.”

“Jordan has been a part of the Whitecaps FC Saskatchewan Female Prospects since day one
. She recently competed at the 2015 club national championships and signed a letter of intent to play with the University of Saskatchewan Huskies Women's Soccer program. She continues to set the standard in our Prospects Academy. She shows leadership qualities as well as a driven commitment on the field.
