It’s almost time.
On Thursday, Major League Soccer will release the complete 2016 MLS schedule.
Last month, it was announced that Vancouver Whitecaps FC will open their 2016 regular season campaign against Montreal Impact on March 6 at BC Place. Each team is scheduled to play on March 6 during an unprecedented full slate of opening day action. The following weekend, the 'Caps will visit Sporting Kansas City at Children's Mercy Park.
Their remaining 32 matches will be unveiled on Thursday.
Last year's season schedule was also released on a January 7 and it came with the first-ever Decision Day, two Heineken Rivalry Weeks and an expanded MLS Cup Playoff field. We'll see what this January 7 has in store on the scheduling front.
