For the second time in three months, Tim Parker has been voted the Whitecaps FC Player of the Month, presented by Coldwell Banker.
The 24-year-old centre back took home the honours for May by earning 35 per cent of the votes in a poll conducted on Twitter this week, beating out Cristian Techera (27 per cent), Brek Shea (26 per cent), and Sheanon Williams (12 per cent).
Parker, who was also voted the player of the month in March, played the full 90 minutes in five of Vancouver’s six matches in all competitions this month. The Hicksville, New York native scored his first MLS goal against Sporting Kansas City and was named man of the match against Colorado Rapids, helping the ‘Caps keep clean sheets in both matches. He also led the team with 17 clearances and 24 duels won in MLS play.

from the club’s U-14 Residency program. The North Vancouver native was one of the team’s top performers at the recent Lennart Johansson Academy Trophy Tournament in Sweden, playing every minute of all five matches.
“Brandon stepped up and played a number of positions and was consistent in his performances against top competition,” said U-14 Residency head coach James Merriman. “He was the captain of our team and showed great leadership in the highlight match against FC Barcelona.”
