Vancouver Whitecaps FC striker Fredy Montero has been named to the MLS Team of the Week after scoring both of Vancouver’s goals in a 2-1 win over Cascadia rival Seattle Sounders FC – Montero’s former club – on Friday night at BC Place. The Colombian now has three goals and one assist in three starts, and six appearances, so far this MLS regular season.

Whitecaps FC centre back Tim Parker also made the Team of the Week bench.
