A member of Whitecaps FC since 2006, Steve Ramsbottom is the strength and conditioning coach for both the Men¹s and Residency teams.
Ramsbottom is the owner of Performance Institute, a strength and conditioning facility located out of 8-Rinks in Burnaby, BC. At Performance Institute, Ramsbottom delivers a science-based conditioning program that pushes athletes to reach their full potential. He trains several of BC¹s top amateur and collegiate athletes, and has served as the strength and conditioning coach for Canada¹s national wheelchair basketball team, wheelchair rugby team, and wheelchair tennis team.
In addition to working with high-level athletes, the native of Mississauga, Ontario, also works with active rehabilitation clients, corporate clients, and people looking to improve their overall health and wellness. Some of Ramsbottom¹s notable clients include the Slovakian national hockey team, three-time Canadian figure skating champion Emanuel Sandhu, as well as actors Jessica Alba, Zac Efron, and Hugh Jackman.
