PROFILE
Buckland, 22, returns for her second W-League season with Whitecaps FC after previously playing with the club in 2009. During her lone season with the women’s squad, the Delta, BC, native made six appearances and recorded two assists. In 2008, she was the leading goalscorer for the Whitecaps FC U-18 Prospects in the Pacific Coast Soccer League (PCSL) Premier Women’s division with 11 goals on the campaign.

This past year, Buckland completed her junior season of National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I soccer at Oregon State University. In her three years of action, the North Shore Girls Soccer Club product has started 37 of her 63 appearances, scoring 28 goals and recording nine assists. With a career high 11 goals and four assists in 2011, she was named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-Pacific Region first team.

Buckland has also become a regular member of the senior Canadian women’s national team. In total, Buckland has made 12 international appearances at the senior level, including three matches during the 2012 CONCACAF Women’s Olympic Qualifying tournament at BC Place. The rising young striker is also a former member of the BC Soccer Provincial Teams program and Canadian Soccer Association (CSA) National Training Centre program.

UNITED SOCCER LEAGUES W-LEAGUE
2009: Buckland made six appearances for Whitecaps FC in her first W-League season where she tallied two assists.

PACIFIC COAST SOCCER LEAGUE
2008: Buckland, played with the Whitecaps Prospects Women's team in 2008. Although she missed the first third of Pacific Coast Soccer League matches with the Prospects, the striker was the team’s leading scorer with 11 goals during the campaign.

COLLEGE
2011: The forward started 16 of her 20 appearances for the Beavers in her junior season where she tallied her highest goal total of her collegiate career with 11 goals and four assists. 2010: The Delta, BC, native contributed 10 goals and three assists after starting in all 20 of her appearances. After an outstanding season she was named to the All-Pac-10 Second team. 2009: Buckland, led the Beavers with seven goals and two assists where she was named to the Pac-10 Conference All-Newcomer team. One of her most memorable goals of the season was scoring against instate rivals the Oregon Ducks. 2008: The forward was a redshirt freshman in 2008.

INTERNATIONAL
As a Canadian National Women's Team member, Buckland most recently played in the 2012 CONCACAF Olympic Qualifying tournament in Vancouver where she started one of her three appearances for team Canada. The forward was also named as an alternate for team Canada at the 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup.
