Stewart, 22, enters her third season with Whitecaps FC after last playing for the club during the 2010 W-League season, starting 11 of her 12 appearances to help Vancouver reach the W-League Championship final. In total, the Highlands Ranch, Colorado-born midfielder has started 25 of her 28 appearances for the Blue and White.
This past year, Stewart played her first season at the University of California, Los Angeles, in NCAA Division I, making 20 appearances while scoring two goals and recording five assists. Prior to playing with the Bruins, Stewart played one season at Vanderbilt University, starting all 18 matches while scoring three goals and recording one assist. Her performance with the Commodores saw her named to the Southeastern Conference (SEC) All-Freshman team.
On the international stage, Stewart has earned a regular spot with the Canadian women’s national team. In January, she made two appearances for Canada at the 2012 CONCACAF Women’s Olympic Qualifying tournament at BC Place. In 2011, the young midfielder played for Canada at the FIFA Women’s World Cup in Germany, making one appearance against France. In total, Stewart has started eight of her 31 appearances. As a youth international, Stewart represented Canada at the U-20 level – winning CSA U-20 Female Player of the Year in 2009 – and U-17 level.

2010: Stewart started 11 of her 12 appearances to help the 'Caps reach the W-League Championship final. 2009: Stewart started all 10 of her appearances in 2010 for 898 minutes of action. 2008: In 2008, Stewart appeared in six matches with the Whitecaps for 440 minutes of action. Before joining the Blue and White, she played youth soccer with the Colorado Rush and Real Colorado youth teams, where she captured state championship titles from 2003 to 2006, as well as a United States national youth championship in 2006.
Senior: Recently, the midfielder made two appearances for Canada at the 2012 CONCACAF Olympic Qualifying tournament in Vancouver. In 2011, the young midfielder played for Canada at the FIFA Women’s World Cup in Germany, making one appearance against France. In total, Stewart has started eight of her 31 appearances. U-20: Stewart played her first match for Canada’s U-20 national team on May 3, 2008, in a 3-0 victory over Mexico. She scored two goals to help Canada win the 2008 CONCACAF U-20 Women's Championship in Puebla, Mexico, before representing her country at the 2008 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Chile. The native of Highlands Ranch, Colorado, also served as team captain during Canada’s campaign at the 2010 CONCACAF U-20 Women’s Championship in Guatemala City, Guatemala. In total, Stewart has earned 24 caps for Canada’s U-20 side, scoring four goals in the process.
2011: The midfielder made 20 appearances for the Bruins in her first year at UCLA where she contributed two goals and five assists. 2010: Stewart redshirted in her sophomore season at Vanderbilt due to Canadian Women's National Team commitments. 2009: A promising freshman year with the University of Vanderbilt saw her started all 18 of her appearances for the Commodores, scoring three goals and adding one assist. Stewart was also named to the Southeastern Conference (SEC) All-Freshman team.
