Sawicki, 19, returns to play her second season with Whitecaps FC in the W-League after making two appearances during Vancouver’s 2011 season.

In addition to playing with Whitecaps FC, the Coquitlam, BC, native has spent the past two seasons at the University of Victoria playing Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) soccer. Sawicki, a product of Coquitlam Metro-Ford soccer club, has started all 26 of her appearances in her two seasons. This past season, Sawicki scored three goals and registered six assists to lead the team with nine points in 12 games. Her performance saw her named a Canada West all-star and second-team CIS All-Canadian.

Like Jenna Richardson and Nicole Setterlund, Sawicki was also named to Canada’s U-20 women’s national squad at the 2012 CONCACAF U-20 Championship. The native of Coquitlam, BC, was given the start in all five of Canada’s matches during the tournament and scored a goal in a 6-0 semi-final win over Panama.

2011: Sawicki made her W-League debut last season for the 'Caps, appearing in two matches.

2010: Won the PCSL Premier Women’s regular season championship and league cup with the Whitecaps FC U-18 Prospects team.

2011: Sawicki started in all 12 of her appearances where she contributed three goals and six assists for a total of nine points. 2010: The midfielder started all 14 games for the Vikes, leading the team with four goals. Her efforts saw her named Female Rookie of the Year at UVic. INTERNATIONAL U-20: Sawicki was selected to the Canadian roster for the 2012 CONCACAF Women's U-20 Championship, starting all five matches and scoring one goal to help Canada capture a silver medal and a spot in the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup.
