PROFILE
Carosio, 22, enters her first season with Whitecaps FC. The Novi, Michigan, native played her first and only season in the W-League in 2010 with Eastern Conference club Chicago Red Eleven, starting all eleven of her appearances while scoring one goal and recording one assist. From 2008 to 2011, Carosio played National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I soccer at the University of Illinois alongside Mykines. During her senior season, she earned Big Ten defender of the Year and was named to the All-Big Ten First Team. In her four seasons with the Illini, Carosio started 32 of her 82 appearances, scoring five goals and recording one assist.

COLLEGE
2011: The Novi, Michigan, native started all 24 of her appearances for the Fighting Illini where she tallied three goals. Carosio had such a successful season she was named Big Ten Defender of the Year and First Team All-Big Ten. 2010: In her junior season, Carosio started five of her 16 appearances and scored one her lone goal of the season against Wright State. For a second consecutive year she was named to the Academic All-Big Ten team. 2009: As a sophomore, Carosio starter three of her 16 appearances for Illinois where she tallied one goal and one assist. Carosio was also named to the Academic All-Big Ten team. 2008: The defender/ midfielder played in 16 games for the Fighting Illini in her freshman season. Carosio made her first collegiate appearance against Dayton.
