PROFILE
Boyd, 21, comes back for her third season with Whitecaps FC after previously playing for the club during the 2009 and 2010 W-League seasons. The Surrey United product joined the ‘Caps women’s squad after captaining the U-18 Prospects team. Most recently, the Surrey, BC native spent the 2011 season with Newtonabbey Strikers of the Northern Ireland Premier League.

This past year, Boyd completed her junior season of Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) soccer at Trinity Western University, scoring three goals and recording seven assists in 20 appearances. In total, Boyd has scored five goals and recorded 15 assists so far in her three seasons with the Spartans.

Internationally, Boyd has experience participating in camp with Canadian U-17 and U-15 national teams. Like Clair and Adams, Boyd also took part in the BC Soccer Provincial Teams program and National Training Centre.

NORTHERN IRELAND PREMIER LEAGUE
2011: The midfielder took a trip overseas for the 2011 season to play for the Newtonabbey Strikers in Northern Ireland. Where she helped the squad capture nine victories out of the 10 games they played and propelled the Strikers to second overall in the Premier League standings.

UNITED SOCCER LEAGUES W-LEAGUE
2010: The 5-foot-5, Surrey, B.C., native made one appearance for the blue and white in the 2010 season. 2009: The midfielder was called-up from the prospects program to the W-League squad where she made her one appearance for the 'Caps.

COLLEGE
2011: In her junior season Boyd appeared in 20 matches, tallying three goals and seven assists for the Spartans. 2010: The sophomore season was a successful one for the midfielder as she contributed two goals and three assists for TWU. 2009: Boyd started 11 of 12 matches for the Spartans for a total of 990 minutes. The midfielder recorded five assists in her freshman season and was named a Canada West second team all-star.

INTERNATIONAL
U-17: The talented midfielder was selected to attend Canadian Soccer's U-17 identification camp in 2007. U-15: Boyd was also selected to attend Canadian Soccer's U-15 identification camp.
