The Vancouver Whitecaps FC have designed a regional weekend training camp program that will bring Whitecaps staff and players to communities throughout BC. This camp is in partnership with the local Youth Soccer Association and provides local in players of all levels with a challenging, focused and fun Whitecaps professional training environment.
An additional objective is to work in partnership with the local Youth Soccer Association to identify talented players in the region, and provide those players the chance to be evaluated and potentially play in the Whitecaps youth system. This connection is what makes the Whitecaps FC regional camp program so successful and unique.
Camp Management – Sam Lenarduzzi
Former Vancouver Whitecaps and World Cup member Sam Lenarduzzi is at all camps leading a top-class professional instruction from Whitecaps FC youth coaches and Men and Women’s players.
Camp Details
• The Camps run for two full days Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 to 4:30.
• For Boys and girls 5-15 (U6 to U16). Players are grouped by age/ability into the following programs:
- Mini: U6 to U7. Beginner level. Focus on fundamental skills, sportsmanship and fun.
- Intermediate: U8 to U10. All Levels grouped by ability. Focus on Technique and skills.
- Jr.’ Whitecaps: U11 to U13. Motivated players. Focus on Technique, speed/agility and team play.
- Prospects: U13 to U16 . For regions select players/teams. May include other age identified players.
