Aaron Mulama, a native of Abbotsford, BC, is an agile and swift striker that has been a welcomed addition to the 'Caps' Pre-Residency program. Mulama joins Whitecaps FC from his hometown based club, Magnuson Ford Mariners FC.
Before joining Magnuson Ford Mariners FC, Mulama played for Ligi Ndogo Soccer Club in Nairobi, Kenya from 2006 to 2008. He then moved to Magnuson Ford Mariners FC from 2009 to 2013, including playing for the U-11/12 team in the BC Soccer Premier League, and the U-13/14 squads, where he captained the U-14 team.
The 5-foot-8 forward is currently in the ninth grade at Yale Secondary School, with an expected graduation in 2017. He labels his first ever soccer coach, Andrew McCulloch, as the most influential person on his soccer development because he mentored him and selected Mulama for his BCSPL team. Also, he names his parents, Martin and Grace, as his biggest supporters as they have always mentored him and motivated him to play at his best.
Mulama’s favourite club to watch is Real Madrid, and he one day dreams to play at the legendary homefield of English Premier giants Manchester United, Old Trafford. He ranks superstar Cristiano Ronaldo as his favourite player in all of soccer. Away from the pitch, Mulama enjoys hanging out with friends and family, going for a jog, and playing basketball. His favourite food is spaghetti and meatballs.
