An accomplished centre back that has represented the province of British Columbia, Alexander Comsia joined Whitecaps FC Residency in Sept. 2011 after last appearing with Richmond Selects U-16's.
U-17: Comsia was a regular call-up to Canada's U-17 men's national team in 2012.

In 2008 and 2009, Comsia was a member of Whitecaps FC Prospects, where he trained under Residency staff coach Bart Choufour.
FRENCH LIGUE 1
2011-12: In 2011, Comsia trained with the U-17 squad of promoted Ligue 1 club Evian Thonon Gaillard FC in France.
Comsia's youth career has been impressive. The defender started his soccer career with the Lynn Valley Soccer Association in his hometown of North Vancouver, BC, having played U-9 to U-11 soccer from 2004 to 2007. Comsia then played U-12 Gold soccer with the Mount Seymour Soccer Association (2007-08) before winning a BC provincial championship title with North Vancouver's Lions Gate U-13 side in 2008. He also won a silver medal in boys soccer for Zone 5 (Vancouver-Squamish) at the 2008 BC Summer Games in Kelowna. The centre back appeared for North Shore Selects at the U-14 Metro level from 2008 to 2010, having been BC Coastal Cup final Most Valuable Player in 2010. He then played U-16 Metro soccer with Burnaby Selects (2010) and Richmond Selects (2011). As a member of the BC provincial team, Comsia served as captain of his province's U-13 (2009) and U-14 squads (2010). As BC U-14 captain, Comsia led his province to a Canadian All-Star Championship title in 2010 before helping BC to a bronze medal at the 2011 Canadian U-16 All-Star Championship. Comsia also trained with the Canadian Soccer Association's National Training Centre (British Columbia region) program from 2009 and 2011.
Growing up in North Vancouver, BC, the centre back's parents are Mylene and Catalin Comsia. He has a sister named Eleanor and three brothers named Danny, Julian, and Maximilian. As a student in North Vancouver, BC, Comsia attended École André-Piolat (2002-03), Ridgeway Elementary (2003 to 2008), and Ecole Braemar Elementary (2008-09) before spending two years at Handsworth Secondary (2009 to 2011).
When not concentrating on his soccer career, Comsia enjoys spending time with his family and friends and watching his favourite team in Spanish and European giants FC Barcelona play. He is a big fan of Barcelona and Argentina star Lionel Messi and dreams of playing at Barcelona's Camp Nou home. The defender's favourite food is spaghetti.
