PROFILE
A member of Canada’s U-15 men’s national team pool, Aymar Sigue arrives at Whitecaps FC after a stint with FC Edmonton Reserves.

FC EDMONTON RESERVES
2012:
Prior to joining Whitecaps FC, Sigue played with the reserves side of North American Soccer League (NASL) club FC Edmonton.

YOUTH/AMATEUR/REPRESENTATIVE HONOURS
Sigue began his youth soccer career with St. Albert Impact in the Edmonton Interdistrict Youth Soccer Association in 2006. He stayed at the Impact until 2009 when he moved to Internationale in the same association.

The native of St. Albert, Alberta, represented Team Alberta at U-13, U-14, and U-16 levels between 2010 and 2012.

Also in 2012, the young striker was called up to Canada’s U-15 men’s national team.

PERSONAL
Sigue is now in grade twelve at Burnaby Central Secondary.  His parents are Simon and Magon Sigue.

INTERESTING FACTS
Sigue’s favourite soccer team is Manchester City and his favourite player is Brazilian striker Neymar. His dream stadium to play at is Barcelona’s Camp Nou.

The most influential person in Sigue’s soccer development has been his father and he chose to join Whitecaps FC so he could learn from professional coaches. When’s he’s not training or playing, Sigue enjoys watching movies and other sports, as well as dancing. His favourite food is chicken fried rice with ginger beef.
