Brendan Skinner, a native of Surrey, BC, is a valuable defender on the Whitecaps FC backline. Skinner joins Whitecaps FC from his hometown based club Surrey United SC where he captained the BC Soccer Premier League team to many league and Premier Cup victories.

Before joining Surrey United SC, Skinner was a part of the U-11 Guildford Athletic Club Bronze team in 2009 to 2010, then he moved onto the U-12 Guildford AC Gold squad for 2010 to 2011 where they won the league, district, and conference, plus two torunaments, while also playing for the Whitecaps Prospects in the same time frame. Skinner was also a member of the 2012 U-13 BC Provincial team where he captained the team for three games.
The 6-foot defender currently attends Pacific Academy Private School in the ninth grade with an expected graduation in 2017. He also credits his parents, Randy and Patti, as the most important people to his soccer development because they have spent so many hours driving him to team and personal training sessions.
Skinner's favourite soccer team is English Premier League giants, Manchester City, while his favourite player is Spanish powerhouse and Real Madrid defender, Sergio Ramos. He also has dreams of one day playing at the legendary Celtic Park, home of Scottish Premiership beasts, Celtic F.C. When not on the pitch, Skinner enjoys playing volleyball at school and spending time with his friends and family. His favourite food is Chicken Alfredo.
