A goalkeeper from Port Moody, BC, Cole Kiez joined Whitecaps FC Residency in Sept. 2011 after developing with Port Moody Soccer Club and Coquitlam Metro-Ford Soccer Club.
Kiez started his soccer career with hometown Port Moody Soccer Club, where he played from 2004 to 2007. He then played for Coquitlam Metro-Ford Soccer Club from 2007 to 2011, having been last part of the club’s ’99 Milano side. The shot-stopper’s youth career includes various tournament championship titles and two tournament Most Valuable Player awards.
Kiez attended the French immersion program of Panorama Heights Elementary School in Coquitlam, BC, from 2004 to 2010. He now attends Scott Creek Middle School in Coquitlam, BC.
A fan of English Premier League giants Manchester United FC and their legendary former goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel, Kiez is also a fan of archery, basketball, street hockey, and swimming. The goalkeeper’s favourite food is cheeseburgers.
