Cole Morokhovich, a native of Coquitlam, BC, is a quick and aggresive striker that joins Whitecaps FC from his hometown based, Coquitlam Metro-Ford Soccer Club.
Before joining the 'Caps, Morokhovich started his youth career with the Denver YMCA youth squad from 2002 to 2003. He then progressed to Port Coquitlam Euro-Rite FC from 2003 to 2004 before moving to Port Moody Soccer Club for the 2004-2005 season. He then moved back to Port Coquitlam Euro-Rite FC from 2005 to 2009, while even playing up a year for the 2008-2009 season. He then joined CMFSC from 2009 to 2011, while playing for the CMFSC Spartans squad in the EA Sports BC Soccer Premier League from 2011 to 2012. He was named as the team's Player of the Year in 2012, the same year the team reached the Premier Cup Finals.
The skilled striker has also earned many notable provincial/national honours in his young career like being named to the U-13 and U-14 BC Provincial teams, where he was named to the All-Star team at both Canadian Prairie Invitational's. Morokhovich also trained at the Canadian Soccer Association's National Training Centre from 2011 to 2012.
The 5-foot-7 forward currently attends Burnaby Central Secondary School in the tenth grade, with an expected graduation in 2016.
Morokhovich’s favourite club to watch is FC Barcelona, and he would love to play at Camp Nou one day, the home of the Spanish Giants. He names the Argentinian superstar Lionel Messi as his favourite soccer player in the world. Away from the pitch, the Coquitlam native enjoys socializing with friends, watching soccer, reading, playing video games, and listening to music. His favourite food is caesar salad.
