Jeevin Kang

PROFILE
A former Surrey United player, Jeevin Kang moves up to Whitecaps FC U-16 Residency after first joining the ‘Caps U-14 Pre-Residency team in January 2012.
WHITECAPS FC RESIDENCY
Kang first came to Whitecaps FC in early 2012 and played under head coach Bart Choufour with the U-14 Pre-Residency team. In the fall of 2012, the Surrey, BC, native moved up to the U-16 Residency team.
YOUTH/AMATEUR/REPRESENTATIVE HONOURS
The young prospect played his youth soccer with Guildford Athletic Club from 2002 to 2007. In 2009 and 2010, Kang played with Surrey Guildford United. In 2011, Kang played with Surrey United in the EA SPORTS BC Soccer Premier League.
Kang has also represented the BC Provincial Team at both U-13 and U-14 levels. Personal highlights include winning the Provincial Championship with Surrey Guilford United in 2010 and finishing fourth with the same team at the National Club Championship.
PERSONAL
Kang entered the tenth grade at Burnaby Central Secondary School in September 2012. His parents are Kash and Lucki Kang.
INTERESTING FACTS
Kang is a supporter of Manchester United but his favourite player is Liverpool midfielder Steven Gerrard. He dreams of playing at Wembley Stadium. Kang credits his parents for providing him with the opportunities and support to excel in his youth soccer career. Outside of playing soccer, Kang enjoys travelling, playing ping pong, watching movies and hanging out with his friends. His favourite breakfast foods are eggs and beans.
