PROFILE
A defender from Langley, BC, John Kasper joined Whitecaps FC Residency in 2012 from Surrey United in the EA SPORTS BC Soccer Premier League after previously representing both Surrey and Langley soccer clubs in British Columbia.

YOUTH/AMATEUR
Kasper started his soccer career with Langley United Youth Soccer Association, where he played from the U-6 to U-12 level. During his U-13 year, he moved to Langley United in the Metro Soccer League, where as team captain he led his team to win the provincial championship. In the following year Kasper joined Surrey United U-14 in the EA SPORTS BC Soccer Premier League, where once again as team captain, he led another provincial championship.

Kasper was also a member of the BC Soccer Provincial Team Program at U-13 and U-14 levels.

PERSONAL
Kasper is currently in the ninth grade at Walnut Grove Secondary School in Langley, BC. His parents are Dave Kasper and Maragaret Genge.

INTERESTING FACTS
The young defender lists Barcelona as his favourite soccer team, while his favourite player is Argentine star Lionel Messi. Away from the soccer pitch, Kasper enjoys hanging out with friends and spending time with his family. His favourite food is pizza.
