From Port Coquitlam, BC, defender Kadin Chung joined Whitecaps FC Residency in September 2011 after representing his home province of British Columbia. Signed his first professional contract with Whitecaps FC 2 (WFC2) in the United Soccer League on August 26, 2015.

2015: Made two substitute appearances for WFC2, including his professional debut on September 13 at home to Orange County Blues FC at Thunderbird Stadium.

2014-15: Was a mainstay on the backline, starting 34 of his 35 appearances on the season as the 'Caps U-16 squad won their second straight Northwest Division title. 2013-14: In his first full season with Whitecaps FC U-16, started 20 of his 27 appearances and scored two goals as the 'Caps won the Northwest Division. 2012-13: The Port Coquitlam, BC native played as a developmental player for Whitecaps FC U-16 Residency, starting in four of his five appearances in the regular season. His most recent appearance was a start in the 4-0 home loss to Crossfire Premier on June 1, 2013.
2015: Represented Canada at the 2015 CONCACAF U-17 Championship tournament, starting all six matches and scoring a goal in the opening match against Haiti. 2014: Called up to Canada's U-16 men's national team for the Montaigu tournament in France with games against France, Turkey, and Ivory Coast. 2013: Chung was called up as part of a 30-player group assembled for a three-day prospects evaluation for the U-15 Canadian men’s national team. The camp was held from June 4 through June 6 in Montreal, Quebec.
A product of Coquitlam Metro-Ford Soccer Club, Chung has served as captain, won league titles, and claimed tournament Most Valuable Player honours during his youth career. This included involvement with Metro-Ford in the BC Soccer Premier League, with the defender last playing for Metro-Ford Spartans. Chung was also a member of the BC provincial team program at the U-13 level.
As a student, Chung attended Our Lady of Fatima Elementary School in Coquitlam, BC, from 2003 to 2011 before moving to Archbishop Carney Regional Secondary School in his hometown of Port Coquitlam, BC. He has since moved to Burnaby Central Secondary School where he is currently in the 10th grade.
The 5-foot-6 defender’s favourite teams are Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Manchester United, while his favourite players are Portuguese sensation Cristiano Ronaldo and Manchester United defender Alexander Buttner. The defender would like to play at Manchester United FC’s Old Trafford home one day. When not playing soccer, Chung enjoys playing basketball, hockey, swimming, as well as spending time with friends and family. His favourite foods are sushi and pasta.
