PROFILE
A 5-foot-8 midfielder who has trained with the academies of such renowned English clubs as Leeds United, Middlesbrough FC, and Newcastle United. Elbourne arrived at Whitecaps FC in January, 2012, after growing up in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and playing his youth soccer with Halifax City Soccer Club.

YOUTH/AMATEUR
Elbourne began his youth soccer career with Halifax City Wanderers in 1999 before moving to Halifax City Soccer Club in 2005. Among his club accomplishments are helping steer Halifax City to the Atlantic championship in 2008 and 2009 and captained Nova Scotia U-13 and U-14 teams.

At the provincial level, the Halifax native represented Nova Scotia from U-13 to U-16 between 2008-2011, the Team Atlantic U-16 team in 2011 and NTC Atlantic between 2009-2011. Other team achievements include the Nova Scotia Soccer League Winter Provincial Championship in 2008, 2010, and 2011, and the Nova Scotia U-16 Provincial Championship in 2011. On top of these achievements, Elbourne also collected a silver medal with Nova Scotia at the U-16 All-Star Nationals in 2011 and was top scorer in the tournament.
    
PERSONAL
Elbourne entered his Grade 12 year at Burnaby Central Secondary in September 2012. His parents are Diane and Duncan Elbourne, and his sister is Kate Elbourne. He holds both a Canadian and British passport.

INTERESTING FACTS
Elbourne is a devout Manchester United fan and dreams of playing at Old Trafford. His favourite players are Paul Scholes and Wayne Rooney. He decided to join Whitecaps FC so he could play in a professional environment and to achieve his goal of playing at the highest level. Away from the pitch, Elbourne loves to indulge in hiking and reading as well as playing the guitar. When it comes to food, Elbourne enjoys eating steak and potatoes.
