PROFILE
Hailing from Burnaby, BC, goalkeeper Luciano Trasolini joined Whitecaps FC Residency in Sept. 2011 after being a member of the club’s Prospects program. 

UNITED STATES SOCCER DEVELOPMENT ACADEMY
2012-13: The Burnaby, BC native was a developmental player for Whitecaps FC U-16 Residency, but he made no appearances in the regular season for the squad.
 

VANCOUVER WHITECAPS FC PROSPECTS
From 2008 to 2010, Trasolini was a member of Whitecaps FC Prospects, where he trained under Residency staff coach Bart Choufour.

YOUTH/AMATEUR
Trasolini’s youth soccer career included spells with Vancouver’s Italian Canadian Sports Federation (ICSF), South Burnaby Metro Club, and Burnaby Selects Soccer Club. He also played in the United Soccer Leagues Super Y-League with Coquitlam Metro-Ford Soccer Club. 

PERSONAL
Trasolini attended Lochdale Community School in Burnaby, BC, before moving to Burnaby North Secondary School.

INTERESTING FACTS
The goalkeeper’s favourite soccer teams are Spain’s Real Madrid and Italy’s Internazionale, while his favourite players are the Real Madrid pair of Portugal’s Cristiano Ronaldo and Spain’s Iker Casillas. One day, Trasolini would like to play in Real Madrid’s Estadio Santiago Bernabeu. Outside of soccer, the goalkeeper enjoys basketball and video games, while his favourite food is pasta fagioli.
