PROFILE
A commanding defender, Nicholas Prasad joined Whitecaps FC Residency with a wealth of experience playing for previous club Surrey United at various levels since 2005, as well as representing British Columbia with the BC Soccer Provincial Team.
 
YOUTH/AMATEUR
Currently residing in Surrey, BC, Prasad previously represented Surrey United at the Metro level from 2005 to 2010 and then in the EA SPORTS BC Soccer Premier League in 2011-12. 
Prasad won the BC Secondary School Provincial Championship as captain of the Enver Creek Secondary School Cougars. The defender also captained every youth club team he played for with Surrey United.
Additionally, Prasad has represented British Columbia at every level from U-13 to U-16 and was called up to the National Training Centre program from 2008 to 2010. Prasad also led Team BC to a bronze medal at the Canadian All-Star Championship.
 
PERSONAL
Born in Edmonton, Alberta, Nicholas’ parents Arun and Rosene later moved him and his brother Brendan to Surrey. Prasad is scheduled to graduate from Enver Creek Secondary in 2013.
 
INTERESTING FACTS
When not working out on the soccer pitch, Nicholas enjoys working out with weights in the gym. His favourite soccer team is Real Madrid and he would one day like to play at the Spanish giants’ stadium, Estadio Santiago Bernabéu. Nicholas’ favourite food is pasta and his favourite player is Chelsea centre back David Luiz.
