Nikhil Reddy

PROFILE
A striker from Surrey, BC, Nikhil Reddy joined Whitecaps FC Residency in Sept. 2011 after being part of the club’s Prospects program and representing his home province of British Columbia.
VANCOUVER WHITECAPS FC PROSPECTS
From 2008 to 2010, Reddy was a member of Whitecaps FC Prospects, where he trained under Residency staff coach Bart Choufour. During that time, the striker appeared for the U-11 Prospects side at the prestigious Surf Cup tournament in San Diego, California, in the summer of 2009. He also played for the program’s U-12 and U-13 squads.
YOUTH/AMATEUR
Reddy has played his entire youth soccer career in his hometown of Surrey, BC. The striker started with Whalley Soccer Club from 2002 to 2004 before spending the 2004-05 season with Surrey Football Club (Surrey Youth Soccer Association). From 2005 to 2010, Reddy played for Surrey United Soccer Club before joining Surrey Guildford United for the 2010-11 season. In 2011, the striker was a member of the BC U-13 provincial team.
PERSONAL
As a student in Surrey, BC, Reddy attended Senator Reid Elementary School from 2003 to 2011. The striker now attends Surrey’s L.A. Matheson Secondary School.
INTERESTING FACTS
Reddy is a fan of Spanish and European giants FC Barcelona, while his favourite player is Barcelona and Argentina star Lionel Messi. One day, the striker hopes to play at Manchester United’s Old Trafford home. Outside of soccer, Reddy likes playing baseball, basketball, football, hockey, video games, as well as hanging out with friends. The striker’s favourite food is pasta.
