Hailing from Delta, BC, midfielder/striker Patrick Izett joined Whitecaps FC Residency in Sept. 2011 after representing British Columbia at the youth level.
Izett started his soccer career in Calgary, Alberta, with Tuscany Soccer Club before joining North Delta Youth Soccer Club following a move to his current hometown of Delta, BC. He then made the move up to Metro level with Delta Youth Soccer Association Selects, where he served as captain during the 2010-11 season. He then joined Whitecaps FC's Pre-Residency squad from 2011-2012 before joining the Lower Mainland based club Fusion FC. As a member of BC provincial team program, the striker played for his home province at both the U-13 and U-14 levels. Izett also trained in the Canadian Soccer Association’s National Training Centre program (British Columbia region) during the 2010-11 season.
As a student, Izett attended Scenic Acres School in Calgary, Alberta, for the 2002-03 school year. Following his move to Delta, BC, in 2003, the striker attended Sunshine Hills Elementary School until June 2010. He is currently attending Seaquam Secondary School in Delta, BC, in the eleventh grade. His parents are Alex and Trish Izett.
The 5-foot-8 utility player’s favourite team is English Premier League giants, Liverpool FC. He is a fan of the always amazing Ronaldinho, Steven Gerrard, David Villa and Real Madrid's Isco, while he dreams to one day play at Liverpool FC's home stadium of Anfield. The striker’s interests include hanging out with friends, listening to music, mountain biking, and playing the video game FIFA. His favourite meal is steak and yams.
