Rahid Rahiem, a native of Burnaby, BC, is a swift and well-rounded midfielder who joins Whitecaps FC from the Pre-Academy team of fellow MLS Western Conference club, San Jose Earthquakes.

Rahiem has been a part of many elite teams in his young soccer career, including representing the U-14 US National Team, being a part of the Region IV Olympic Development Program, and representing the Cal-North State ODP team all in 2011.
Before joining the 'Caps, Rahiem was a part of the Earthquakes' Pre-Academy squad all the way until the U-14 level.
The 5-foot-8 midfielder currently attends Burnaby Central Secondary School in the 10th grade, with an expected graduation in 2016. He names his father as the most influential figure in his soccer development due to his continued support every step of the way.
When away from the soccer pitch, Rahiem enjoys spending time with his family, playing basketball, and video games. He enjoys following his favourite soccer team, Spanish giants Real Madrid, and he one day dreams of playing at their stunning homefield of Santiago Bernabeu Stadium. His favourite soccer player is Brazilian stud Ronaldinho. He always makes sure to pray before each and every game he plays. His favourite food is pizza.
