Terrell Smith, a native of Burnaby, BC, has been a rock for Whitecaps FC on the backline. Smith joins Whitecaps FC from Lower Mainland based club Fusion FC.
The 5-foot-9 defender began his youth soccer career with Cliff Avenue United FC from 2005 to 2011, while playing with the TSS Academy development program from 2009 to 2011 as well. He then moved onwards to play for Fusion FC from 2011 to 2012 before moving into the Whitecaps FC Pre-Residency program from 2012-2013. He has also earned many respectable accolades like being named to the U-13 BC Provincial Team in 2012.
Smith currently lives with his biggest supporters, his parents Arabella and Raymond Smith. Smith also currently attends Burnaby North Secondary School in the ninth grade.
Smith's favourite team is Chelsea FC and the soccer player he idolizes is Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany. One of his dreams is to one day play at Chelsea FC's homeground of Stamford Bridge. Outside of soccer, Smith enjoys listening to music, watching and playing sports, and hanging out with his friends. His favourite food is fettucine alfredo with salmon.
