BIOGRAPHY
PROFILE
An attacking midfielder with club and provincial team experience, Titouan Chopin joined Whitecaps FC Residency in Sept. 2011 after spending time with Coquitlam Metro-Ford Soccer Club.
YOUTH/AMATEUR
Having grown up in the West Kootenay region of British Columbia, Chopin played at the 'B' representative level with Nelson Youth Soccer in Nelson, BC (2006 to 2009). In 2010, the midfielder joined Coquitlam Metro-Ford Soccer Club in the Lower Mainland before leading the province of BC to a bronze medal at the 2011 Canadian U-16 All-Star Championship in Mount Pearl, Newfoundland.
PERSONAL
Raised in the West Kootenay village of Kaslo, BC, Chopin also calls Burnaby, BC, home. The midfielder's parents are Jill MacDonald and Antoine Chopin. He also has a brother named Jules. As a student, Chopin attended J.V. Humphries School in Kaslo, BC (2001 to 2005), Hume Elementary School in Nelson, BC (2006 to 2007), and Trafalgar Middle School in Nelson, BC (2007 to 2009). He then attended L.V. Rogers Secondary School in 2009 before moving to Burnaby Mountain Secondary School in Burnaby, BC, in 2010.
INTERESTING FACTS
When not playing soccer, Chopin enjoys playing tennis and skiing. His favourite food to eat is steak, while he enjoys watching his favourite team in English Premier League giants Arsenal FC play. He is also a fan of FC Barcelona and Spain midfielder Cesc Fabregas and hopes to play at Real Madrid's famous Estadio Santiago Bernabéu one day.
