This included mini and intermediate programs for all levels, and a Prospects program for select players. In addition to the 11 Whitecaps coaches that made the trip, Whitecaps Prospects head coach Bart Choufour ran a special program that was designed for the region's select and identified players. “This type of weekend gives the Whitecaps the opportunity to strengthen our partnership with the WLYSA," said Lenarduzzi. "We want to try and help them grow their registration and profile in Williams Lake, as well as provide some player development opportunities.” The Williams Lake camp is one of two Whitecaps camps to take in British Columbia's Cariboo region. The weekend of May 3 and 4, the Whitecaps will be in Quesnel for their annual camp. The Whitecaps and Williams Lake Soccer Association Camp was supported by a variety of community partners including Pacific Coastal Airlines, The Tribune, The Overlander Hotel, The Rush, Williams Lake and District Credit Union, Margetts Meats, Tell Tale Signs and Printing, Save-On-Foods, Cariboo GM, Caribou Ski Source for Sports, and Cariboo Custom Monogram and Screening. In addition, partial funding for the weekend’s camp was generously provided by the TELUS Community Fund to the Whitecaps Foundation. More Youth News Return To Whitecaps News |
