The Surrey WFC U-14 Boys opened the weekend series with a convincing 3-0 win, taking them to 2-0 on the season after winning their first game on the road against Spokane last weekend. Two goals from Oliver Garcia-Lemus and a single strike from Dalton San gave the home side the three-goal victory. The U-13 Boys dropped their second game of the season 4-1 to Evergreen, with Jas Bains scoring Surrey's lone marker, while the U-14 Girls saw their record go to 1-1 after a tough 2-1 loss to their Pacific Northwest opponents. Natalie Douglas scored Surrey's consolation strike. Last weekend, Surrey WFC opened their inaugural Super Y-League season by winning three of a four-game weekend series in Washington State against Spokane Spiders. The Whitecaps other Super Y affiliates Coastal WFC kick off on Wednesday, May 21, when they host Surrey WFC in their home opener at Mackie Park.
