Covenant House

Covenant House Vancouver provides unconditional love and absolute respect for youth who are experiencing homelessness. They help young people ages 16 to 24 who have fled physical, emotional, and sexual abuse; those who have been forced from their homes; and those who have aged out of foster care. Covenant House Vancouver provides more than shelter and food; They give young people a loving home and a family that genuinely cares for them. 

Programs and services include:

  • Food, housing, and clothing
  • One to one support from caring adults
  • Mental health and addictions counselling
  • Education and employment guidance
  • Life skills training
  • Wellness and recreational activities
  • Help to find and maintain housing

Vancouver Whitecaps FC is proud to partner with Covenant House Vancouver for the club's 50/50 program. All proceeds from the 50/50 program at Whitecaps FC home matches will be donated to Covenant House Vancouver and improve the lives of homeless and at-risk youth.

Hope and Health

Hope and Health is a soccer-for-social impact movement that engages Indigenous children and youth to develop their life skills and leadership potential. Hope and Health's vision is for Indigenous children and youth is to carry themselves with pride and confidence, and be empowered to dream big and achieve their greatest potential. The organization's guiding principle is Nautsa’mawt, which is a Coast Salish term that means moving together as one heart, one mind. This applies to how Hope and Health leads, interacts with others, and comes together as a community with children and youth at the centre.

BC Children’s Hospital Foundation

BC Children's Hospital is the province's only full-service, pediatric acute care hospital and serves the one million children living in BC and the Yukon. All children who are seriously ill or injured are referred to Children's Hospital and are either treated at the hospital facility in Vancouver or, with consultation from Children's specialists, in their home community. Last year, more than 81,000 children were treated at Children's Hospital.

Canada SCORES Vancouver

Canada SCORES Vancouver’s after-school programs help at-risk students find their voice, achieve their goals and reach their full potential through the game of soccer, the art of poetry and community service experiences. Canada SCORES Vancouver’s innovative, proven program inspires, engages and makes a difference to at-risk urban students allowing them to lead healthy, productive and confident lives.

Vancouver Street Soccer League

The Vancouver Street Soccer League is a volunteer-run organization that reaches out to individuals who have been homeless, are currently homeless, or are at risk of homelessness, as well as individuals who feel marginalized within their communities, or are recovering from drug and alcohol addictions. Vancouver Street Soccer League addresses the issue of homelessness, marginalization, and addiction through inclusivity and soccer.
