Covenant House Vancouver provides shelter and services to children and youth who seek help, with a priority of concern and commitment to those for whom no other service is available.
The organization makes every effort to reunite young people with their families, collaborate with community agencies and associations and actively participate in community efforts to improve the condition of families and children. Covenant House Vancouver also advocates with and on behalf of youth to raise awareness in the community about their suffering.
Vancouver Whitecaps FC is proud to partner with Covenant House Vancouver for the club's 50/50 program. All proceeds from the 50/50 program at Whitecaps FC home matches in 2020 will be donated to Covenant House Vancouver and improve the lives of homeless and at-risk youth.
BC Children’s Hospital Foundation
BC Children's Hospital is the province's only full-service, pediatric acute care hospital and serves the one million children living in BC and the Yukon. All children who are seriously ill or injured are referred to Children's Hospital and are either treated at the hospital facility in Vancouver or, with consultation from Children's specialists, in their home community. Last year, more than 81,000 children were treated at Children's Hospital.
Canada SCORES Vancouver
Canada SCORES Vancouver’s after-school programs help at-risk students find their voice, achieve their goals and reach their full potential through the game of soccer, the art of poetry and community service experiences. Canada SCORES Vancouver’s innovative, proven program inspires, engages and makes a difference to at-risk urban students allowing them to lead healthy, productive and confident lives.
Kids Up Front
Kids Up Front sends underprivileged kids to quality events, ranging from sporting events, concerts, live theatre, theme parks, to movies. The organization focuses its energies on children and youth who have been adversely affected by poverty, abuse, illness and disability. By assisting kids raised under such trying conditions, Kids Up Front alleviates many of the stresses and challenges, and thereby improving the welfare of both children and families throughout our community.
Since 2000, over 1,000,000 experiences valued at over $29M have been provided to kids and their guardians across Canada. In Vancouver, Kids Up Front has provided 314,000 amazing opportunities valued at over $9.28M since 2004.
Vancouver Street Soccer League
The Vancouver Street Soccer League is a volunteer-run organization that reaches out to individuals who have been homeless, are currently homeless, or are at risk of homelessness, as well as individuals who feel marginalized within their communities, or are recovering from drug and alcohol addictions. Vancouver Street Soccer League addresses the issue of homelessness, marginalization, and addiction through inclusivity and soccer.
