VANCOUVER, BC – Vancouver Whitecaps FC are set to host San Jose Earthquakes in their final home match of the regular season (4:30 p.m. PT on TSN1 and TSN 1040 radio).

  • Whitecaps FC head coach Carl Robinson makes five changes to his starting lineup from last Saturday’s 3-0 defeat at New York Red Bulls. Stefan Marinović, Kendall Waston, Cristian Techera, Yordy Reyna, and Brek Shea replace David Ousted, Aaron Maund, Jordan Harvey, Alphonso Davies, and Erik Hurtado.
  • Seven of Vancouver’s starters are in their first year with the club.
  • Marinović makes his first start at BC Place – has posted a 2W-1L-0D record away from home saving 13 of 15 shots on target with a 0.67 GAA.
  • Marinović, along with Waston, Reyna, and Christian Bolaños (suspended this match), were away last week on international duty.
  • De Jong celebrates his 31st birthday today.
  • Aly Ghazal has now started six of the last eight matches, Whitecaps FC are 3W-1L-1D when he plays.
  • Midfielder Cristian Techera returns to the lineup for the first time since his wife Claudia gave birth to their first son Bastian. Bastian has two older sisters in Aldana and Camila. Whitecaps FC are 18W-0L-7D when Techera record a goal or assist.
