A fresh group of young Whitecaps FC talents have had the opportunity of a lifetime this week to play in the Scotiabank CONCACAF U-13 Champions League.
"These kids, it's an honour to play against them," 'Caps Residency player Niko Sigur told Scotiabank FC of the international competition. "They're so passionate, they make you better players."
16 players have come together as a team for the first time, having an opportunity to learn and grow against top quality international competition from throughout North America, Central America, and the Caribbean.
"The competition tests you as a person," head coach James Merriman noted to Scotiabank FC. "Putting pressure on them, feeling uncomfortable, and starting to be ok with that and learn from it and grow."
