Position Title: Account Executive, Partnership Marketing (Maternity Leave)

Terms: Full-time, Temporary
Reports to: Director, Partnership Marketing
The Whitecaps FC mission is To Unite and Inspire Our Communities. We are looking for a new team member to join Vancouver Whitecaps FC in the position of Account Executive, Partnership Marketing.
The Account Executive, Partnership Marketing is responsible for the planning and execution of all assigned partners’ contractual elements, including traditional media assets, in-market promotions, in-arena activation, hospitality, experiential, and community programs
Role Responsibilities:
Manage the planning and execution of all assigned partners’ contractual elements, including traditional media assets, in-market promotions, in-arena activation, hospitality, experiential, and community programs
- Assist in managing the execution of all partners’ contractual elements, including in stadium elements such as LED minutes, field signage and in stadium graphics
- Maintain superb working relationships with all partnership contacts and ensure a high level of partner satisfaction
- Contribute to club revenue goals by assisting in all facets of the renewal process, including but not limited to; developing a strategic plan, leading meetings, discussions, & negotiations, creating detailed upsell opportunities
- Track reporting metrics for partner deliverables and activations and prepare year end reports
- Be the conduit between partnerships marketing and marketing team to manage design assets and get creative approvals
- Manage partner player appearances as required
- Provide support for all partner events as required
- Assist with on site activation, production and/or hospitality responsibilities for all home games
Qualifications/Experience:
In addition to bringing a commitment to Vancouver Whitecaps FC vision and values, the ideal candidate will require degrees of demonstrated experience as follows:
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- The ability to build and maintain strong relationships in order to consistently maximize growth, and meet/exceed targets
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including public speaking to small and large groups at all levels of an organization
- Strong understanding of industry trends to enable the effective position of partnership opportunities
- Proven ability to engage with a range of internal and external partners to achieve objectives
- Ability to assess opportunities and risks to make sound decisions
- 2-3 Years of Sales, Marketing, or Event Management experience
- Post-secondary experience with Marketing, Business or related disciplines is an asset
- Experience with CRM is an asset
- Knowledge of, or prior experience working within sports (pro or amateur) is an asset
- A passion for soccer, sport, and a strong understanding of the North American soccer scene is an asset
- Self-starter who works well in a team environment
- Flexible schedule and ability to work unconventional hours including weekends and game nights
