Project Coordinator, Marketing

The Whitecaps FC mission is To Unite and Inspire Our Communities. We are looking for a new team member to contribute to the Vancouver Whitecaps FC culture by understanding and supporting our four cornerstones: team spirit, discipline, work ethic and mentality.

The Project Coordinator, Marketing is responsible for a broad range of strategic and commercial business initiatives across the club. These include supporting the marketing strategies that drive growth in existing and new business lines across several departments. This role will work with team members across marketing, content, community, events, partnerships, retail and eSports.

Role Responsibilities:  

  •  Work with the Marketing Director and creative team to develop, coordinate and implement organization-wide marketing campaigns and promotions
  • Work with various departments to build detailed marketing project plans, including the scope, objectives, timelines and all relevant stakeholders and vendors
  • Oversee the creative proofing process to ensure accuracy of deliverables
  • Facilitate working groups to provide project updates and align on upcoming milestones
  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
  • Manage agency relationships as well as internal partners


In addition to bringing a commitment to Vancouver Whitecaps FC vision and values, the ideal candidate will require a broad base of information technology knowledge with degrees of demonstrated experience as follows:  

  • Minimum 3+ years marketing experience within sports/entertainment marketing, event management, media and/or promotion
  • Ability to move a given project from the strategic/philosophical into the executable
  • Practical, hands-on individual who can multi-task and solve problems with a calm, common-sense approach
  • Curious in seeking innovative channels to reach key targets
  • Creative thinker
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Superior written and oral communication skills are a must
