Whitecaps big in Quesnel

Vancouver Whitecaps FC wrapped up a big weekend in Quesnel with over 100 boys and girls taking part in a camp held in partnership with the Quesnel Youth Soccer Association (QYSA).

“This is our sixth consecutive year in Quesnel, and we really appreciate the support and partnership of the QYSA and their staff and volunteers in putting this camp on together,” said Whitecaps director of youth Dan Lenarduzzi. “This type of event gives the Whitecaps the opportunity to strengthen our partnership with the QYSA and we look forward to working even more closely over the next few years.”

This year’s camp included development for all levels of players, including mini and intermediate programs, and a Prospects program for select players.

The Quesnel camp builds on last weekend’s highly-successful Whitecaps camp in Williams Lake. Over the course of the two camps, the Whitecaps have reached over 300 boys and girls and their families in British Columbia's Central Interior.

The TELUS Community Fund has generously provided partial funding for both the Williams Lake and Quesnel camps.

The Whitecaps and Quesnel Youth Lake Soccer Association Camp are also supported by a variety of community partners, including Central Mountain Air, Fraser Bridge Inn, Boston Pizza, the Quesnel Observer, The Wolf, and National Car Rental.
