Nash and Sebrango take weekly awards

Vancouver Whitecaps pair of midfielder Martin Nash and striker Eduardo Sebrango have been named in the latest USL First Division Team of the Week.

Nash earned a spot in the Week Eight team after scoring a fine winning goal in Vancouver's 3-1 home win over Pacific Northwest rivals Portland Timbers. Sebrango also makes the squad after claiming a goal and an assist in last Saturday's victory at Swangard Stadium.

Nash was joined in the weekly all-star XI's midfield by Charleston Battery's Ian Fuller, Atlanta Silverbacks' Scott Buete, and Puerto Rico Islanders' Noah Delgado. Sebrango's partner in attack is Player of the Week Aaron King from Charleston following his fine performance against the struggling Montreal Impact. Seattle striker Sebastien Le Toux also made the weekly squad up front.

The three defenders selected were Portland's Leonard Griffin, Minnesota's John Greenfield, and Rochester's Tiger Fitzpatrick. Miami FC Blues' Josh Saunders was chosen as the team's goalkeeper.
